Communications
Communications are very important for workers in hazardous environments to ensure that they can safely interact about work in progress. There are two main types of electronic communication, hardline and radio.
Hardline uses a fixed line that gives a continuous, uninterruptible communication method but has the disadvantage of many cables in a hazardous environment.
Radio communications have the advantage of being more mobile than a line system, but there is always the possibility of interference or loss of communication if the signal is obstructed by other items such as concrete walls or heavy steel fabrications. Our communication solutions are all intrinsically safe meaning they can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
